That frustration became my motivation. I wanted to build something that didn't exist yet — a platform that treats coloring pages as real art, uses AI to make discovery effortless, and gives the coloring community a true home. That's how hicolorist was born.”
hicolorist started with one question: Why is there no “Pinterest for coloring”? The coloring book world is massive — millions of people color every day for relaxation, creativity, and education. Yet the online experience was broken: pages buried in ad-heavy sites, no intelligent search, no community, no way to discover art by theme or style.
In early 2026, Ant.lv set out to change that. Armed with a background in digital art and a passion for building creative tools, he began collecting, curating, and AI-analyzing line art images at scale. The goal was ambitious: build the world's most comprehensive, searchable, and community-driven coloring platform.
Within months, hicolorist grew to over 600,000 AI-tagged coloring pages spanning hundreds of categories — from intricate mandalas and realistic animals to whimsical fairy tales and educational sheets. But more importantly, a community began to form: artists sharing their colored creations, inspiring each other, and celebrating the simple joy of bringing line art to life.
